Platinum Jubilee
In 2022, the United Kingdom came together to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II, marking seventy years of her historic reign. Over a long bank holiday weekend the streets of London filled with colour, ceremony, and celebration as crowds gathered from across the world to witness parades, flypasts, and moments of shared national pride.
These photographs capture fragments of that atmosphere: early mornings along The Mall, strangers bonding over bunting, the anticipation of the crowds and the spectacle of the day itself. From quiet encounters to the roar of aircraft overhead, the series reflects a city alive with history, humour, and collective celebration.
